Privacy policy

How Data Nova handles your information when you use this website and our services.

What information is collected

Information you provide:

  • Name, email address, phone number
  • Company name and job title
  • Payment details
  • Project files and data you share with us
  • Messages you send us

Information collected automatically:

  • Aggregate page views and referrers, measured without cookies and without building a profile of you
  • The booking calendar on the contact page comes from HubSpot and sets HubSpot's own cookies, under their privacy notice. It does not load until you press the button that asks for it, so nothing is set unless you choose to book. This site sets no cookies of its own.
  • Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, sees the usual request information, including your IP address, to serve pages and block attacks. It is not used to identify you.

How it is used and shared

Your information is used to:

  • Provide data consultancy and training services
  • Process payments and send invoices
  • Respond to your enquiries and send project updates
  • Send marketing emails, only with your permission
  • Improve this website and our services, and meet legal obligations

The legal basis for processing is contract (to deliver services you have hired us for), legitimate interests (to run the business effectively), consent (for marketing emails), and legal obligation (to keep financial records).

We do not sell your data. It is shared only with:

  • Essential service providers such as hosting, email, and payment processing
  • Microsoft services when delivering your projects
  • Professional advisers where necessary, and authorities where legally required

Information is protected through encrypted connections, password-protected systems, limited access controls, and regular security reviews. Client project data is kept for 6 months after project completion, financial records for 6 years, and marketing contacts until you unsubscribe. Website measurement is aggregate only and retains no personal data. This site also links to other sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Your choices and contact

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to processing
  • Withdraw consent for marketing
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office

To exercise any of these, or to ask a privacy question, email prathy@data-nova.io. The same address takes security reports about this website, and is published for that purpose at /.well-known/security.txt.

To complain to the supervisory authority, contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
